The DGT Mastering unit is a Laser Beam Recorder system for CD/DVD glass mastering. The system is able to produce any kind of prerecorded CD format available today. Recording speeds 2XCD(up to 4XCD). It can also be upgraded to all standard and future formats.
The unit is equipped with a water cooled 457.9nm Argon-Ion gas laser manufactured by Coherent, the leader laser company today. Argon-Ion gas laser is a technology already proved to be reliable for CD/DVD mastering. With lifetime exceeding 10000 hours, it fully satisfies the demand for big productivity and minimal maintenance requirements.
One of the main advantages is the air bearing system. Laser, optical path, translation stage and turntable are all seating on a stone bed which floats on a pneumatic system. The DGT Mastering unit is able to produce up to 35 glass masters per day. It is configured to handle 160mm glass disc diameters.
